The past two weekends have been unbelievable! Thanks so much to everyone for coming out to the shows and for their support for Burning Fight. I put six years of my life into making Burning Fight a reality, and I’m ecstatic that it has finally seen the light of day.
Both the Chicago and Pomona shows were incredible. I left both with such a positive feeling. Hardcore is what we make of it. This music, this community, these ideals forever changed my outlook on the world, as well as countless others. These past two weekends were a firm reminder of that, and I thank everyone who came out to share these experiences.
Thanks to all who picked up Burning Fight at the shows or ordered it online. Please drop me a line and let me know your thoughts as you dig into it. The book is now available and shipping at www.revhq.com as well as several other indie retail outlets. It will be available in larger retail stores in the coming weeks.
In the past couple weeks there have been several other stories on Burning Fight. Here are links to a couple of pieces:

I am also lining up some places to talk about the book this summer. The first set date will be Saturday, June 20th at the Evanston Public Library in Evanston, IL. More info about this and other engagements coming soon. If you know of any colleges, bookstores, libraries, or other places that might be interested in hosting an event, please contact me at 90shardcore@gmail.com
Again, thanks to everyone for their enthusiasm and support. Without you none of this would have been possible.
Hardcore lives!
Take care,
Brian/Burning Fight

Wow!
This weekend, the shows, the bands, the faces, energy, smiles, thoughts and words… I’m still taking it all in…
I had a smile stretched ear to ear this weekend and my lips would quiver at times because my face muscles aren’t accustomed to smiling that much for that long. Tears of joy and pride came during Jim’s speech before Unbroken. The intensity that followed with stage dives and the look on peoples’ faces, fulfilled me in a way that’s been missing for a very long time.
Jim and I put in over ten months of extremely hard work into organizing twenty-two bands, securing the Metro, insurance, tickets, flights, hotels, transportation, photographers, food, special requests, answering a million ridiculous questions, yet all the while knowing that all of our headaches and irritations would pay off in the end.
It absolutely did. Though I wasn’t expecting it to pay off as grandly as it did. It exceeded all of my hopes for a fun and smooth weekend. I’m so proud to be a part of such a passionate, compassionate, and heartfelt hardcore community.
Thanks to everyone who came out and truly enjoyed themselves without looking for things to be negative and complain about, like so many of us often do.
Congratulations to Brian for selling out of all 700 copies of his book that were available at the show!
MAJOR SUCCESS!
Sincerely,
Thank you, thank you, thank you,
Caitlin/Burning Fight Team

Hey all,
Welcome to the Burning Fight Blog! In the coming weeks there will be many updates about the status of the book, where the book can be purchased, information about the people interviewed in the book, and much more.
I can tell you that the editing process is finished and the layout should be complete within days. My aim is to have copies of the book available for the shows in May. More news about that to follow soon…
I’m extremely excited for the Chicago and Pomona shows. They will both be very special events featuring amazing bands. Some proceeds from both events will also go to worthy causes. For example, the Chicago show proceeds will go to Rock for Reading (www.rockforreading.org) and PAWS Chicago (www.pawschicago.org). More details to come about these organizations.
Feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions. I’ll do my best to respond soon.
Thanks for your support!
Take care,
Brian/Burning Fight
